We often tell ourselves we’ll begin when we feel ready.
When we’re more confident. When the fear disappears. When life settles down. When we finally know exactly what we’re doing.
But sometimes, readiness never arrives first.
Growth often asks us to move while we’re still uncertain. Courage isn’t always the absence of fear—it can simply be deciding that fear doesn’t get to make every decision for us.
Think about how many important moments begin without certainty. Starting something new, changing an old habit, speaking up, creating something, or choosing a different direction. We rarely get a guarantee that everything will work out before taking that first step.
And maybe we don’t need one.
Sometimes clarity comes after we move. The first step teaches us something. Then the next step becomes a little clearer. Slowly, the path reveals itself through experience rather than endless thinking.
You don’t have to have your entire life figured out today. You don’t even have to feel completely confident.
You just need enough courage for the next small step.
Maybe being ready isn’t a feeling we wait for.
Maybe it’s something we become by beginning.
