We often feel like everything that happens to us needs to mean something.
A difficult season becomes a lesson. A mistake needs a purpose. A loss must somehow make us stronger. Even moments of confusion can send us searching for some deeper message hidden underneath.
But maybe not every experience needs to be understood.
Sometimes life is simply happening, and our need to explain it can pull us away from actually experiencing it. Growth doesn’t always arrive as a realization. Sometimes it happens quietly while we’re still confused, still healing, and still unsure of what any of it meant.
There is freedom in allowing an experience to exist without immediately asking, “What is this trying to teach me?”
You can feel something without analyzing it. You can go through something without turning it into a story about who you’re becoming. You can admit that you don’t know why something happened.
Maybe wisdom isn’t always finding the lesson.
Sometimes wisdom is being comfortable enough to say, “I don’t understand this yet—and I don’t need to.”
