Nature never apologizes for changing.
Trees lose their leaves. The days grow darker. Fields become quiet. Then, eventually, life returns.
Our inner world moves in seasons too. There are times when we feel energized, inspired, and connected to everything around us. Other times, we feel quiet, uncertain, tired, or pulled inward.
The problem begins when we assume every difficult season means something is wrong.
Not every period of stillness needs to be escaped. Sometimes we are processing. Sometimes we are letting go. Sometimes something within us is changing before we even have words for it.
A tree in winter may look lifeless, but beneath the surface, it is still alive.
Maybe we can offer ourselves the same understanding.
You don’t have to bloom all year. Some seasons are for growing outward. Others are for growing roots.
