Stop Asking Life to Feel Finished

We spend so much of our lives waiting for the moment when everything finally feels settled.

When we have the right job. When we understand ourselves better. When the uncertainty disappears. When we finally become the person we think we’re supposed to be.

But life rarely gives us that kind of finish line.

There will always be another question, another change, another part of ourselves we haven’t completely figured out. Maybe peace isn’t found by solving every unfinished part of life. Maybe it’s found by becoming comfortable living among the unanswered questions.

Think about how much life happens while we’re waiting for something else. A quiet drive home. A conversation with someone we love. Sunlight coming through the window. A song that catches us at exactly the right moment. These experiences don’t require our lives to be perfect before they become meaningful.

Growth doesn’t always feel like arrival. Sometimes it feels like uncertainty. Sometimes it means realizing that an old version of yourself no longer fits, even though you don’t know who you’re becoming yet.

You don’t have to reach some imaginary final version of yourself before you can appreciate where you are.

Life is unfinished because you’re still living it.

And maybe that’s not something to fix.

Maybe that’s the beauty of it.
